Yaar is a business-to-business inquiry matching platform for India's commercial and industrial economy — factories, shops, contractors, local trades, vendors, and workers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Yaar.

We collect information about you in several ways, including:

• Personal & business data: Information you provide — name, business name, phone, email, GST / Udyam / Shop Act number (where applicable), Aadhaar via DigiLocker (for individual workers), and any industry or trade details — when you register or join our waitlist.
• Location data: As a cluster-local platform, we collect your business location (approximate or cluster-level) to match your inquiries with verified vendors, workers, or buyers nearby.
• Profile data: Business profile details — categories you supply or source, service areas, certifications, trade licenses, and response history — to enable accurate matching.
• Usage data: Information about your activity — inquiries posted, responses sent, chat usage, ratings — used for platform operations and improvement.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Classify and match business inquiries with verified local vendors, workers, and trades.
• Create and manage your business or individual account.
• Process lead-credit purchases or subscription billing (Yaar never handles deal payments).
• Improve our AI-driven classification, verification, and matching systems.
• Maintain trust, safety, and compliance across the platform, including fraud prevention and grievance handling.
• Send you updates, notifications, and relevant information about matched inquiries or your account.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share your information only to the extent necessary to facilitate a business match — for example, showing a vendor the inquiry they've been matched to, or showing a buyer the verified badge of a responding vendor. We do not sell or rent your personal or business data to third parties. We may share information with trusted service providers (verification, messaging, hosting) who assist us in operating the platform, under confidentiality obligations. Yaar is a matching intermediary and is not a party to any transaction, contract, or employment relationship between users.

5. Data Security & Trust

We apply administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect your information. Because Yaar handles verified business data, we retain immutable audit logs of inquiries and matches for regulatory and dispute-handling purposes. No security system is perfect; we continuously improve our controls and encourage users to report suspected misuse promptly.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal and business information, in line with the DPDP Act 2023. You can manage location permissions in your device settings. For data deletion or any privacy question, contact our Grievance Officer via the in-app form or grievance@yaar.buzz.
